These are text message notifications that an advertiser/merchant sends when they want to pass some information to their subscribers/customers.

This could be to let them know of:
- New product(s)
- Arrival of new stock
- Discount on a particular item, or any other form of communication.
Advertiser
An advertiser, on creating a Shop n' Save!’s advertiser account, creates groups each representing the products and/or services he/she sells. Descriptions for each group are important to the subscribers when subscribing to alerts for the different products.
When sending alerts to subscribers/customers, the advertiser selects the group(s) he intends to send the alert to and all the subscribers who have subscribed to that/those group(s) will receive the alert.

Subscriber
For a subscriber to receive alerts from a particular advertiser(s), he/she should create a Shop n' Save! subscriber account and select the advertiser(s) from whom he wants to get alerts from. The subscriber should then check only the groups he is interested in for the particular advertiser(s).
To subscribe for alerts from more than one advertiser is recommended as it increases chances of getting the item/service you seek.
This service is free for subscribers.
