Premium SMS Alerts (S11)

These are text message alerts that Shop n' Save! subscribers receive at a small fee. The alerts are sent by carefully vetted and frequently audited content providers.

Some of the content that falls under this category includes:

The content is subdivided into the smallest possible units to enable subscribers subscribe only to alerts of interest to them. For example, premium content providers for jobs would create a group for every profession so that subscribers subscribe to the group(s) of jobs in their professional domain only.

Another example is in stock market where each stock can be subscribed to individually or a number of them together depending on the shares the subscriber owns e.g. one can opt to receive all stock alerts for KCB, Uchumi and TPS Serena shares or for just one of them.

The content providers provide accurate and auditable content and will be suspended or blacklisted if and when the content they provide is proven to be in-accurate, fictitious or inappropriate.

Subscribers are able to specify the time of the day when they can receive the alerts e.g. between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. and can unsubscribe/stop the alerts at any time by logging on to www.shopnsave.co.ke using their existing accounts and unsubscribing from the groups subscribed to.

To receive these alerts the subscriber has to upgrade his/her account to that of a premium subscriber and credit the account.

To register as a premium content provider requires proof of a reliable source of content to be provided.
